Player fund protection for licensed gaming operators
SecurePlay is a governance and compliance platform that helps licensed gaming operators safeguard player funds and meet regulatory guarantee requirements. We bring legal structures, financial protection and daily monitoring into one independently governed framework.
Make safeguarding easier to manage
Operators are being asked to demonstrate stronger governance and greater financial resilience, alongside protection of player funds. When the legal arrangements, financial protection and monitoring sit with different providers, your team has to keep them working together. That can mean fragmented oversight, manual checks and significant capital commitments.
SecurePlay coordinates safeguarding through one compliance partner. Automated checks reduce manual work, while organised reporting can help make regulatory onboarding more efficient. Suitable guarantee arrangements can also reduce the capital you need to commit. The modular setup is designed to support your business as it grows and its requirements change.

How the four protection layers work together
SecurePlay combines four layers of protection: legal segregation, financial protection, operational monitoring and independent governance.
Who is involved
SecurePlay coordinates governance and compliance, working with Qrumble Insurance SL on insurance and financial protection.
Banking partners provide segregated accounts. Technology partners support monitoring and reconciliation, while independent auditors provide external verification.
Choose the structure that fits your market
SecurePlay offers three configurable modules: Foundation, Player Funds Account and Insurance. These can be used individually or combined, depending on local regulation and your safeguarding requirements.
Foundation
A dedicated Stichting Derdengelden, or an equivalent legal structure, holds player funds separately from the operator’s own assets. The structure is governed independently.
Player Funds Account
Player funds are held in per operator segregated accounts, supported by automated reconciliation and operational oversight.
Insurance
Insurance-backed guarantees can replace or complement traditional bank guarantees where local rules permit. Their role depends on the guarantee requirements in the relevant market.
Clear information for regulators
Regulators need to be able to see how funds are held, how balances are checked and who is accountable. SecurePlay supports that oversight with standardised reporting and documentation prepared for audit, backed by daily reconciliation and automated compliance monitoring.
Independent governance and external verification help make the arrangements transparent. The aim is to give regulators confidence in how player funds are protected and reduce the work involved in reviewing and overseeing the arrangements.
Our current focus and expansion plans
We currently focus on the Netherlands and Germany. Spain, Finland and Denmark are part of our planned expansion.
Our plans also include digital asset service providers operating under MiCA and other regulated financial businesses. The combination of legal structures, financial protection and monitoring would be adapted to the requirements of each market.
Talk to us about your requirements
